| Somewhere in the depths of a universe parallel to ours lies a planet called Hoargh. Though it has only one major continent, Hoargh otherwise has many similarities to our own world. Not only does it have a similar size, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and geological composition to Earth, Hoargh is also populated by lifeforms almost exactly like Earth's...but mostly from our Mesozoic Era. On Hoargh, dinosaurs still roam the land, pterosaurs still soar in the skies, and giant sea reptiles still swim in the oceans. In addition, Hoargh is home to two intelligent species. The first is a species of bipedal, herbivorous apes called the Harbas, who are closely cousins of gorillas. The second species, the human being, is a recent arrival, having discovered and initiated colonizing of the world in the early twenty-second century. 200 years have elapsed since humans began settling in Hoargh. Their colonies, scattered throughout the world, have since been unified under a single democratic government called the Terran Republic of Hoargh. This government seeks to coexist peacefully with the native Harbas and has established scattered tracts of the terrain as nature preserves to conserve the native wildlife and habitats from human development. |
